INTO THE WILD

ELEPHANTS ARE THE WORLD’S LARGEST LAND MAMMALS,
YET A HERD OF 70 WILL WALK THROUGH THE LANDSCAPE IN
A SILENCE THAT DEFIES BELIEF.

When it comes to wildlife photography, Steve Bloom is at the top of his game. Born in South Africa and now living in the UK, his powerful images of the natural world are striking and passionate. With the release of his latest brilliant book, Living Africa, he turns his lens to the fascinating diversity of Africa – from Suri tribeswomen in Ethiopia to elegant giraffes crossing the Okavango Delta, Botswana. According to Bloom, his “portrayal of Africa is as much about the resilience of the human spirit as it is about the wildlife’s battle for survival.” To celebrate his new release, we have selected some stand out photographs from his new collection and his previous book, Spirit of the Wild (SOTW), which captures the spirit of global wildlife.
